How do I go about getting a Building Permit?
There are a number of ways you can get a building permit. First of all, you can
download an application
form and checklist from this website or you may come into our Regional Inspections
Department office on the 2nd floor, 1450 KLO Road and pick up the same information.
In any event, our staff will be pleased to help and process your application.

Yes, all businesses operating in the Regional District Electoral Areas require a
business license. You can download a
Business License Application from this website or pick one up at the Inspection
Department on the 2nd floor of our 1450 KLO Road office. Staff will be pleased to
process your application.

Where may I buy a dog license?
You may purchase a dog license at the Regional District office, 1450 KLO Road. Licenses are also available
through the City of Kelowna,
District of West
Kelowna, District of Lake Country and District of Peachland
offices. They are also available at dozens of pet stores and vet clinics throughout
the Central Okanagan.

First Nation (WFN) Reserve lands may purchase Westbank First Nation licenses through
the WFN, 301-515 Highway 97 South. For information call 769-4999.

To whom do I complain about my neighbors barking dog?
It depends where you live. All barking dog complaints within the City of Kelowna
must be directed to the City of Kelowna Bylaw Enforcement Department at
250-469-8686.
All other complaints can be made to the Regional Dog Control office.
