What We Do
Crime Stoppers is an internationally recognized community-based crime solving organizataion that offers cash rewards of up to $2,000 for anonymous tips leading to an arrest or charges in cases involving wanted suspects, illegal drugs or stolen property.
Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers is a regional program encompassing the area from Oyama to Peachland (including WFN and electoral areas). It's operated by two distinct and essential partners: the Regional District of Central Okanagan and the Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers Society. The Crime Stoppers office and staff are funded by the RDCO while the Society's Board of Directors raise funds from the community to pay for cash rewards to anonymous tipsters, the TIPS line and special projects.
Since inception in 1987, confidential tip information in the Central Okanagan has helped RCMP seize over $88.6 million in illegal drugs and recover over $4.4 million in stolen property.
Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers staff provides weekly features to the media on wanted persons (Kelowna’s Most Wanted and Mug$hots) and weekly crime bulletins (Unsolved Crimes) and Crime Maps of the area. The website, www.crimestoppers.net, also has a page featuring recreational vehicles stolen in the vicinity.
You can help keep your community safe. If you know anything about a crime or suspicious activity make a difference by contacting Crime Stoppers. It’s completely anonymous. We don't Want Your Name...Just Your Information!
